Respect your fellow players Golf prides itself on the etiquette we see everyday out on the course. A key piece of etiquette advised in the rulebook is to always play a provisional ball when in doubt.
Remember, when playing a provisional ball you must tell your playing partners it is a provisional and not say something like “I’m hitting another one.” You must also hit it before going forward to search for your original ball. If you fail to meet these two requirements that second ball is not a provisional and is deemed to be your ball in play. |
